Maven $15 New User Bonus, Launches New York City
Maven, a new short-term car rental company, just launched a new user sign up bonus of $15. That's enough to try out the service for free (rates start at $8/hr) plus fees. The previous sign up bonus was $10. Maven also added cars in Manhattan near Union Square though I can't seem to find any availability.
I've been using the service since last year and, while they are improving very slowly and the app can be frustrating, I have had more success recently. Take a look at the review I wrote which explains the problems with the app.
The membership is still free…”for a limited time”. Maven's short term car rentals are perfect for when you need a little more than a Lyft/Uber and renting a car for the day is too much. For me that may be around once every other month. If you have Maven near you, give it a shot.

- Download the App: iOS or Android or sign up on the Maven homepage.
- Wait for your account to be approved (1-2 days). Be sure to enter all the information including your drivers license and credit card otherwise your application may sit in limbo without any notifications that you are missing something.

Where is Maven Available?
Check Maven's location map to see if they have a location near you. For now they are only available in a few cities in the US.

In Maven's most recent app update, v1.15, they added the option to refer a friend. Click the “More” tab then “Invite a Friend” to find your code. EXPIRATION: Referral bonuses expire 180 days after you get them.
