IHG Hotels (Priority Club) Q4 2013 Promotion – “Win Big” 50k to 110k points or more!

IHG (formerly Priority Club) has launched their Q4 2013 Promotion.  Everyone's offer is different but I posted mine below so you can get an idea.  I can earn up to 110,000 points.  This is similar to the promotion a couple years ago called “Crack the Case” where I was able to earn almost 200,000 hotel points (see this old post).  For some people this can be a very valuable promotion unlike many double points that I've seen lately. First: Register here to view your specific offers Dates of promotion: 9/1/13 – 12/31/13 Alternatively, you can choose to earn airline miles instead (500 miles for every 10,000 IHG points)

WHATS IT WORTH?

Invalid request error occurred.

Many Holiday Inn nights cost 15k to 20k per night or about $120 cash.  I just stayed at the Holiday Inn Murphy, NC for 15k points per night.  If you have the IHG/Priority Club credit card then you get 10% back on all point redemption.  If you check for 9/20/13, 1 night is only 5k points of $105 cash, so it depends on the season and the hotel category.  To sum it up, if I earn the 110,000 points, that's worth about 7 nights x $100 (to keep the math simple) = $700.

WHATS THE BEST WAY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS?

Register and see what they offer you.  If you had the same offer as me, you could potentially collect all the points in 3 short stays (5 nights in total), at 3 different brands, 2 of them including Saturdays.  With many of the brands being lower cost budget type hotels, this seems very worthwhile, especially if you are traveling for work and can choose where you stay.  In some areas, this could mean spending $500 on hotels that you might already be staying at and getting over $700 in free hotel stays (even more if you count the 10% point rebate if you have their credit card.
