Now everyone can sign up for TSA Pre-check for $85 for 5 years. If you have Global Entry you can sign up for free.
Its great when it works but its been hit or miss. They let you through the fast lane on a random basis so sometimes you get it sometimes you don't.
This is meant for non frequent travelers and you don't even need a passport. Once you sign up, be sure to register your pre-check frequent traveller number in your airline profiles otherwise it won't work (and you won't know its not working because its random, so it make take you a few trips to security to realize you didn't set it up right).
