British Airways has 75 million Avios points in their “Happiness Fund” (nice name) and they are giving travelers bonus points for flights between now and May 31st 2013.
- 20k points for each round trip trans-Atlantic flight
- Fly 5 times before May 31st and get another 100k points for a total of 200k points
This is a great deal for business travellers flying between the states and Europe. Considering you only have 2 months to get it done (April and May), that's quite a lot of flying.
Even if you are only flying once, 20k points for one trip is still quite valuable. I just got back from a trip to South America purchased with Avios points. I booked a round trip coach flight using 50k Avios points JFK to São Paulo (GRU) and from GRU to Santiago for 20k. Flights nyc to Miami or Montreal are 15k Avios points.

I usually only book reward flights on BA's partners so I won't be able to participate.
Are you going to take advantage of this? Let me know how in the comments below.
Here are some details from British Airways:
Simply register, then book a qualifying, round-trip, transatlantic flight in any cabin* and fly as an Executive Club member between now and May 31, 2013, for 20,000 bonus Avios on every round-trip. And when you book and fly five round-trips, you can claim an extra 100,000. In other words, there are 200,000 bonus Avios with your name on them!
That's enough to put towards reward travel, upgrades, even hotel stays and car rentals.¹
But act fast before time runs out. First register for bonus Avios, then book your travel, and claim your share of happy.
