United 55,000 bonus miles + $50 credit after $3,000 spend

There's an even better United credit card bonus offer available.

United just released a limited time offer: Get 55,000 Bonus Miles + $50 Credit after $2,000 $3,000 spend.  This is similar what is typically offered so this isn't something to shout about from the rooftops.  The offer wasn't usually available to everyone – you had to login and see if the offer appeared for you. The offer expires 6/2/15. This is a very good offer and I know many people who were not eligible for this offer previously who will likely want to jump on this offer.  I, however, always have a similar offer available when I login to United.com so I'm probably going to wait for a higher bonus (which may never appear).

There is also a very similar offer (a bit worse) that bloggers/affiliates get paid a commission: the difference is no $50 credit. If you plan to sign up, be mindful of which offer you are signing up for.

LINKS TO APPLY:

Offer 1 (Better): Get 55,000 bonus miles + $50 Credit after spending $2,000 $3,000 in 3 months you receive 55,000 Miles.  The annual fee is $95 (waived the first year). Get the extra 5,000 miles by adding an authorized user. UPDATE 11:10pm: The $2,000 is no longer showing up for me.  The offer appears on the front page without logging in but that is without the $50 credit.

  1. Go to united.com and search for any flight (as if you were going to book a flight)
  2. You should see the offer in the image above.  Click on it and you should see this offer

  1. Interesting that you’re getting the $2000 spend requirement on this, as I only get the $3000 spend offer. I even tried to mimic your flight search, but still got the $3000 spend. Doesn’t matter if I log in or not. I wonder if the $2000 spend offer is being targeted to certain users or what the difference might be.

  2. as us air changes their credit card to AA for current members is their any way to decline the new card and thus get a miles bonus by applying for a new card with AA

    • I believe you mean the new Aviator card. I don’t think having the new aviator card (which replaces the US Air card) will affect your eligibility for signing up for a different AA card. For example, when a bank issues an airline card under Visa and then changes over to Mastercard, that is considered a new product. Generally, if you got the bonus points when it was a Visa, you can get the bonus again when its a Mastercard.
