**UPDATE 9/13/14: Some people have said that they didn't see the offer for the free 2-day weekend rental. I just received the Avis First Membership packet in the mail and it includes the 2-day free weekend rental info AND it has no blackout restrictions so you can use it anytime (unlike so many of their coupons!). See the pics below.
Step 1: Click here to sign up for Avis First Elite Status – (Free). If you have “Preferred” Status already (which is below First), don't click the red continue button. Instead, click the “Click here” which will create an email for you requesting to be upgraded to Avis First. **Update 8/24/14: The updated the link because it original one didnt seem to work anymore.
Step 2: Watch for a confirmation email with the free rental attached.

Love all your stuff Reward Boss. I did this using the AA Advantage black card (also recommended by you) and didn’t get the two day free rental email FYI.
when you get your Avis FIRST confirmation, it should be in there. You may have received the “preferred” status email?
I signed up last week when viewfromthewing mentioned about this. Since I didn’t have Avis account, I created an account to be Preferred status then I use the link to upgrade to First using the Mastercard World Elite, then saw my status on my Avis account changed to First…..but no free rental offered at that time….I scanned my mailbox that was used as an email for registration, since no email from Avis for free 2 days rental, any idea how to get this if I am already Avis First status?
It should be part of the welcome email that comes when you are officially welcomed to Avis First. Ive received mixed responses – working for some and not others. I would suggesting giving it a couple more days then if you still don’t get it, give Avis a call.
