$5 Lyft Line Ends
Lyft announced that Lyft Lines in NYC will now cost $8. Sadly, the popular $5 Lyft Line promotion has ended, which was amazing this summer! After Uber ended their $10 flat rate UberPool rides, it was only a matter of time before Lyft followed suit. $8 is still a great price compared to the alternatives.
Lyft has expanded it's Line service slowly to New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin, and Boston. They recently launched Lyft Line in Boston last week with a low price of only $7! Someone at Lyft goofed, however. New users in Boston initially received five free rides…oops, make that one free ride.
San Francisco's Lyft Line is a little different. Instead of fixed prices, the fares are capped at $6 or $12 depending on area.

New York City: The zones are the same as before. Anywhere in Manhattan south of 97th St now costs $8 instead of $5.
Boston: Get around this huge area of Boston for just $7
San Francisco: Prices are capped at either $6 (east of Stanyon St) or $12 (north of Cesar Chavez St/Sloat Blvd)
