Hong Kong Amex Centurion Lounge - Entrance

Welcome to The Amex Centurion Lounge Hong Kong

The new American Express Centurion Lounge Hong Kong just opened. A RewardBoss reader, Jon, was one of the first to visit the new lounge and sent over photos to share the experience. To get in you'll need an Amex Platinum card or better. The showers weren't available yet, unfortunately. Thanks Jon!

  • Location: Hong Kong International Airport
  • Terminal: 1 Level 7 before Gate 61
  • Hours: 5:30am – 12:30am

Overall, it looks like a bigger and nicer version of the Centurion lounges in the US. I love visiting Centurion lounges as I know I can always get a decent meal and drink unlike many of the airline lounge which offer just he basics. I just wish there were more locations.

Welcome Gift

A welcome gift at a lounge? A scented candle! Maybe not ideal for lugging around at the start of a trip.

Private Centurion Section

This is the separate area for Centurion Black card members. No access unless you have the card. So, sorry, we won't be able to have a look what's behind the black glass door.

  1. Was just there on Tuesday. Food looked OK, but I was really disappointed in the lack of comfortable seating. There are mostly metal mesh backed chairs, and a few plastic chairs. No big comfortable leather chairs or any relaxation/sleep area. When I’m in an international lounge, I want to lounge. I left after a few minutes and headed to The Pier. If you have access to Cathay business lounge then there is really no reason to stop here.

  2. Thanks for the peek Jon!! Would one want to go Centurian over the Cathay business lounges? How would you stack rank? Thanks!

    • Hey Dara, It’s probably more of a novelty now since it opened 24hrs before I arrived but I would actually say The Pier (4 gates away) is much much better, maybe not as bright, but the food is much better. I would go to check it out, maybe have a nice premium drink but would quickly go elsewhere after.
