Here are 5 Things NOT to Redeem your Hyatt Points For
I just received a flyer in the mail letting me know that I can redeem my Hyatt Gold Passport points for “whatever you choose”, including 1) massage 2) dinner 3) movie 4) parking 5) transportation. Wow, what a TERRIBLE offer. No one should do this.
How BAD is it?
The best you can do is $0.005 to $0.008 per point! That's cr@p. Below you can see how to get 3-4x that. It is available at lots of participating locations. But DON'T change more points than you need because you lose anything you don't spend (If you change 10k points for $50 and only spend $40 on dinner, the rest is lost).

Using Points For Hotel Stays is Better!
I checked prices for a sample hotel in each category and found that if you use points for free hotel nights, your points are now worth 2 to 3 cents per point or more. That's a lot more than 0.8 cents per point! To sum it up: use your points for hotel stays. In other words, if you have 12,000 points you can get something worth $150 (a hotel night) or something worth $75 (dinner, parking…). You decide.
