Get $10 Free Sidecar Ride Credit
Sidecar is giving new customers $10 free ride credit. I welcome another competitor who is going to give away free rides and make sure that prices stay reasonable, though I can imagine some drivers flipping the on/off switch on their many different devices — its a bit much! I've been in some cars that have 4-5 devices (iPhones, Android Phones, iPads, video camera, etc).
WHAT IS SIDECAR?
Similar to Lyft and Uber, Sidecar is a smartphone app that connects riders with everyday drivers in their personal vehicles. Sidecar Shared Rides offers carpooling, similar to Lyft Line and Uber Pool. They also offer a Delivery service similar to UberRush.
Sidecar is currently only in 10 cities — much smaller than Uber and Lyft, but they are backed by many heavyweights: including Union Square Ventures, Avalon Ventures,Lightspeed Venture Partners, Google Ventures and Sir Richard Branson.
