Boxed Express - Launches Grocery Delivery + $25 Off $65

Boxed Express recently launched its grocery delivery business. You can try it out for cheap when you stack some promos similar to the recent promo I posted. The refer a friend offer gives you $15 off your first purchase of $60 + an Amex Offer (targeted) $25 back on a $65. If you have the Amex offer, that's $40 off $65, or ~62% off! I also used a cash back site (details are below) plus a promo code for another 20% off but it seems it's expired. These offers are not just for grocery delivery but for regular orders too!

How Does It Work?

Similar to FreshDirect (which gives you $50 off each of your first 2 orders), after you place your order, you will choose a delivery time slot for your Boxed order. Someone needs to be available to accept the delivery.

I'm excited to see more companies jump into the grocery delivery business because going to the local grocery store is a giant waste of time. Have you seen the lines at Whole Foods in Manhattan? I will caution you, however, that Boxed.com does not have a huge grocery selection yet. Mostly basics now and they also resell some Kirkland brand products (which is Costco's store brand) so it took me a while to find enough products to buy… which also made me ask myself if it was worth the extra time online!

Boxed Bold – Since I used my Amex card, I was given their rewards program called “Boxed Bold” for 6 months. It provides 3% rewards back plus free shipping.

American Express $25 off $65 (I found this in my SPG Business account online and you need to activate it in your Amex account BEFORE you purchase). Expires 6/30/17.

What to Buy

As I said above, it took me more time than I'd like to fill up my cart enough to take advantage of the Amex discount and the 20% off coupon. You also can't mix Express Grocery items with non-grocery items if you want to get the free delivery (each has their own minimum spend to have the free delivery).
