Starting January 9th, 2014 there will be more Starwood SPG hotel options in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Lake Tahoe, and more.

This is nice because there was only one option in Atlantic city (the Sheraton) and you'll be able to redeem you points and earn elite stay credit towards your status at 17 hotels. That opens up some new trip possibilities since I plan many of my trip around Starwood hotel locations.
