iPhone X Pre-Order & Trade In Offers

Update 9:30am: delivery times are 5-6 weeks. At 8am there were still a some available for pickup at the flagship Apple Store in nyc. 

Good luck! This is going to be H-O-T! I know lots of people who are all waiting for the iPhone X. Most of the people I know didn't care for the iPhone 8. Quantities are going to be very limited and there are reports that some people will be waiting until January-February. There seems to be a LOT more excitement around the iPhone X than the iPhone 8. See my recent post on trade in offers for the iPhone 8.

AVOID BEST BUY! They are charging $100 more than everyone else. I haven't seen that before!

Like the iPhone 8, the iPhone X trade in offers have not been as good as last year. Sprint is offering the highest trade in amount $350 but that's only for the latest phones ($0 for older phones). Verizon is offering up to $300 off with a trade in. TMobile has their $300 trade in. AT&T so far hasn't announced any trade in offer. Sprint also has a 30,000 American Airline miles bonus for new accounts.

Note that the new iPhones won't support T-Mobile's new LTE network. So, the nice coverage map on T-Mobile's home page is kind of useless.

Can I buy an unlocked iPhone X without activating it on a carrier?

No, at launch you will only be able to buy carrier phones.  But they may be available in stores (if you're lucky). 

Which iPhone 8 Trade In Offer Is Best?

1. There are not much details out yet but it seems Sprint may be the best (highest trade in amount). Verizon is likely the best and most flexible.
