Hilton Q2 2013 Promo – “Daily Grand Promotion”

*6/1/13 UPDATE – Reward stays qualify for this!  I recently had a 4 night AXON stay (American Express Promotional stay – 4 nights for 145,000 points) and for 7,000 points (2k for 3 weekend nights and 1k for the non weekend night).

For Q2 2013, Hilton offers up another underwhelming promotion, but it takes 2 seconds to register and if you are going to be staying at a Hilton anyway, you can get some extra points.  If I were still traveling on business, this promotion would be unlikely to attract me to book a Hilton hotel instead of say a Starwood hotel (which are my favorite).  Especially after the big HHonors point devaluation, this does little to help (read about the point devaluation here “Top 16 Hiltons to burn your HHonors points before rates go up March 28” and “Spending a million Hilton HHonors points before the rate increase tonight!”).  With the best Hilton hotels now costing up to 95,000 HHonors points for a 1 night stay, even a business traveler will have to stay many many nights just to earn 1 free night.

Here are the details of Hilton's Q2 2013 promotion:

EARN 1,000 BONUS POINTS DURING THE WEEK, AND 2,000 EVERY WEEKEND NIGHT.
With the Daily Grand promotion, you could earn up to 6,000 Bonus Points during a long weekend, or spend a week away and earn up to 10,000 Bonus Points. Sign up and then stay at any hotel or resort in the Hilton HHonors™ portfolio from April 1 to June 30, 2013, to start earning your extra points.
