New York Times Travel Show 2017

The New York Times Travel Show in New York City Starts today and I got some free tickets just for my readers (courtesy of the New York Times)! They will go quick. Enjoy!

There will be lots of seminars, over 500 exhibitors, 5 stages with performances throughout the weekend, book signings, and more. In the past, I talked with experts about Australia to help plan my trip and got information to explore other new places for future trips. If you love to travel, you could easily spend 1 day here between the seminars, exhibitor booths, and chatting with experts but I would plan at least 4 hours… at least until you get hungry and have to look for food (see BAD food below).

BAD BAD FOOD – WARNING!

The food is always bad. Think expensive hot dogs and Pizza with no restaurants close by. If you want some normal food, take a walk to 9th Ave where you'll find lots of good stuff including many Thai restaurants (my favorite, Chili Thai, has sadly closed down).

There are always lots of seminars covering a wide range of tops like planning an African safari trip, Italy, Japan, and an update on the travel world from Pauline Frommer. These are great for newbies.
