SUMMARY

We arrived at JFK ready to get our 3 week Honeymoon to Asia started.  I was excited about our first flight on EVA Air's Royal Laurel Class (business class) to Vietnam which we booked using miles.  EVA shares the lounge with Air France (previously shared with Japan Airlines (JAL) lounge which closed 10/31/14).

I was not impressed at all.  The lounge was packed and while it did have the basics like seating, wifi, food, and drinks, it was dirty and the food was terrible, what was left of it anyway.  Perhaps they were closing soon but even if they ran out of food, I would expect them to clean up.

It didn't really matter to me because I heard amazing things about the flight and the food during the flight. We connected to the free Wifi and had a few snacks while we waited for our flight.

HOT FOODS:

  • Stir-Fried Chinese Noodles
  • Creole Style Shrimp
  • Basmati Rice
  • Eggplant Confit
  • Sun-dried Tomato Rissoto

LIQUOR

  • Plenty of free drinks

There is plenty of free liquor here. The flight also serves unlimited free drinks.

BATHROOMS

Plenty of urine on the floor. Not stepping in it probably forced more urine to be added on the floor.  This bathroom reminded me of the public toilets in the Port Authority Bus station in New York City.

There was a shower available here. There was also a lot of urine on the floor of this small bathroom. Even if I needed a shower, I would not take one here.

My Camera: These photos were taken using my Canon S110 Digital Camera which has been replaced by the S120.  I love it – it's tiny, fits in my pocket, and takes amazing pictures/videos.

  1. Worst lounge I been to. Waited over 30 minutes for seat and food was next to nothing. Lounge was shared by multiple airlines.
