Earn 2,000 miles each from US Airways and American Airlines by eating out!
If you eat out anyway, this is a very easy way to earn some extra miles. Sign up for one or both programs, eat or drink at one of the restaurants (or bars or clubs) in their directory (there are many all over the place) and do a quick review. You have 30 days to get it done so you may want to sign up for US Airways first, get the miles, then sign up for American’s program (the bonus expires later). Both programs are exactly the same and run by the same company. You’ll need to register a credit card — you just give them the number and they keep track of everything. No coupons, no hassles. One credit card can only be registered in one program. If you try to register it in a second program, you will get an error.
After you get the bonus, I suggest just registering your credit cards and forget about the program. If you happen to eat at one of the restaurants, you’ll get a few extra points. Its not enough for me to worry about which restaurant gives points.
One thing to note is that you will have to opt in to their emails which may get annoying. One way around this is to use a Gmail account and click the ‘spam’ button which should automatically direct the emails into your spam folder. Problem solved.
